Community Recycling

Community Recycling

Implementing River Valley’s Community Recycling Program impacts the environment and your organization by conserving natural resources and keeps paper out of the landfill. Let us show you how to earn money for your paper with our easy Community Recycling Program.

How To Start Your Program

Contact us! We will connect you with a representative for your area. To start your community program, River Valley will place one of our attractive containers in a visible and accessible location. This will ensure that people will know where to take their material and help with promotion of your program. The greater the visibility and the accessibility of your container the greater the success rate for your recycling program.

Get the Community Involved

To maintain a sustainable program, promote to your community. Use your creativity to get the word out! Seasonal flyers are provided on our website for your promotional purposes.

Put an ad in your local newspaper.
Put out the lawn signs that we will be provided to you.
Post on your marquee if you have one.
Promotion and Education are the keys to a successful recycling program.

Community Program Service Schedule

Your container will be serviced on a bi-weekly basis. The paper that has been collected will be weighed and your organization will be paid for that material. The collected paper is then taken to our plant to be processed by separating into the different grades. Once the paper has been separated, it is sent to various paper mills.
